Niche Store Keywords- It's the question?

Maybe I'm going about this in the wrong way. Maybe trying to find a niche product and then researching it is backwards.

I mean after all what is the Internet? what is content? Well we are looking for search engine traffic aren't we? What do search engines search for? Well let's see, you asked a question and the search engine tries to answer that question with published content. Maybe I'm doing this all wrong.

Maybe instead of looking for product, I should be looking for questions. I should be trying to find searches and then find products of those searches. The best place to start would be my own searches. I just purchased an android cell phone. The camera lens is a poor design. The camera lens mounts flush with the back housing case. This is a scratch magnet. I immediately began searching for a remedy. The phone design is relatively new. So the aftermarket and OEM replacement back covers are scarce. There are a few tutorial sites that tell you how to remove scratches from your cell phone lens.

Checking Google Adwords I notice that there are a few thousand searches each month for this problem. So I could make a page entitled"my cell phone camera lens is scratched.". Of course I would CEO the page with keywords and so on. I would also make sure that this page is included in my site map XML. A simple video of me making a lens repair on Google would not be hard to do. Over the coming months and years as this model of cell phone becomes popular so would my page and video. What if every time I do a search on the Internet for anything, I write down that search on a piece of paper. Later I could go back and look for keywords and products that match the search. The products that match a scratched lens on your phone would be cell phone cases and neoprene shells. I suppose this would be the ultimate of sharing one's life with others.

Taking every situation we encounter in the day, reducing it to a search on the Internet, building a blog reference to that experience with media, and then adding commercials. How thoroughly modern. Suddenly my every day life is a cash machine.

The snow sander at work is broken this is how I fixed it. Ads for bearings and sanders. Last night I watched Survivor and noticed how skinny they where. What is the Survivor diet? This entry sells diet plans.

Maybe I could write down every relevant Question that pops into my head during the day and apply this formula. Suddenly content and Niche Idea's just got a little easier.

with Dragon naturally speaking

So here is my bright idea. If it is true that the humming Bird algorithm from Google looks for natural phrases as search terms, then perhaps the best way to create content is to speak not type. I know this sounds like a silly idea. Especially silly if you are a typist.
So I'm thinking if this is an experiment why not experiment with voice dictation. I'm sure there's a lot of people who are going to read this and think this is a great way to flip content. You know the folks who take someone Else's page and convert it to another language and then back into English in an attempt to fool the algorithm bot.
So I suppose they're going to be people who will be reading other content and then speaking it differently to achieve the same purpose. That's not what I'm talking about here. What I am talking about is getting into the rhythm of allowing words and sentences to flow spontaneously as they would when you're doing a search on your phone.
Years ago I had a voice recognition program called Dragon Naturally Speaking by Nuance. I think it was version 3. It made a lot of mistakes. My microphone wasn't that good. And my computer made a lot of noise back then. I found that it was only good for a few things. What I've just recently discovered is that the newer versions of Dragon Naturally Speaking are really good.
Since my computer is running windows XP I thought it best to use Dragon Natually Speaking 10. At this time of writing there is a Dragon Natually Speaking 12 which is for Windows 7 and eight. If you're thinking about trying something like this I would recommend that you look closely at your system and the parameters of your computer. Version 12 seems to take a lot of memory and require a great deal of speed.
So right now I'm talking to you and the computer is typing. Setting up Dragon naturally speaking is very easy now. In the earlier version of Naturally Speaking, training your voice required about 30 to 45 minutes of reading aloud. With version 10 I only spoke for about 10 minutes, and the accuracy is near 100%.
An added bonus of the later versions of this program is the ability to surf the web by voice. I understand that version 12 even has commands for Facebook and twitter.
So I think you can see where I'm going with this. If you're looking for a way to create natural text in your blog and also simplify the process of making entries then perhaps this kind of voice recognition program is for you.
For more information go to Dragon Natually Speaking .

Build a niche store wordpress phpbay experiment.

Ok. So, I tried building an old fashioned static niche store with BANS. STUPID. So I shall endever to build my future Webpage Empire with WordPress and Phpbay pro. The transition was like The story of Odysseus when he floated into Phoenicia on a log rent from the sea. He was found by the Princess of the realm and brought before the Kings court and treated like royalty.
Bans is the log and Word press is the Kings court. The Internet bends to one knee before WordPress. Phpbay makes store set up a breeze. Naturally the first thing I did was get ahead of myself.

I created like Two pages of content, Built a store, and then rang the search engine dinner bell. All the while downloading all the widgets that glowed so beautiful with the promise of profit and fame. Somehow the adds talked to me. They said things like "we will build back links for you while you sit back and watch". Or my favorite " an hour to setup and three hours to rise in Google ranks".

So after playing around for awhile I've realized a few things.  Build your blog first. Make 20 entries over time. Really write something original and relivent. You can go back later and build the store and add the chachcas. You can change the titles next month to seo a page. You can change the sitemap 2 months from now to optimize. You can make the affiliate link changes a year from now to match tomorrow lands latest thing.
This is my Blog. Although there many like it, this one is mine. Without my Blog I would be in a world of dren.
Get an idea. Buy the domain. Set up a blog and write about it.  And write about it. Again and again. Link it to Facebook. Use social media to share it with current and future friends.
I think what I'm trying to say is that if you write content to throw a store at people it comes off unnatural. Its obvious you are trying to make a buck with out trying. That's how you get panned. That's the stuff algorithms are looking for to nix.
Think of the niche topics you want to try. Buy corresponding domains and write..

Avoid Build a niche store Like the plague.

What a hassle. Like first the pages would not link. Then I could not view the content pages and they would not link. The forum is gone. Support is a cherry picked list of FAQ's. LOL. Now the Store is not up and not functioning. The domain is like two days old and I did not submit it to search engines. So I left the login generic admin bans. There where more pressing things like linking page one to page two.

This morning I figured I would give it another shot. Opened the site, logged in and wham..someone else had been there in the night and rearranged things. The thief/ snoop probably got equally frustrated and left. Hah.

I logged into my  Godaddy file manager and it wasn't there! I waited until it came back. I deleted all traces of Bans.

I admit to knowingly beating a dead horse (Bans). I went into this eyes wide open. So before I install word press and build a blog store I first must preform a Bans store autopsy.

  1.  I learned that A niche site takes time to reach its potential.

  2. Unsupported software is unsupported

  3. If I had started building the store by hand, manually making all of the links the store would be finished by now.

  4. All wyswyg  Editors suck. Give me Dreamweaver all the way.

  5. My old Commodore 64 can kick Bans but.

So from here I will load Word press and build a niche store the old fashioned way. By the sweat of my brow. No more scripted shortcuts. Stay tuned.

Build a niche store: Taking the plunge.

OK. Lets recap. We want to see if The BANS software, Build a niche store is still a viable avenue. Of  course the worse case scenario is that I learn something. The best case senarion is that I will learn something and make money. There is an old saying "you cant take a loss if you are taking a profit.".
If it costs 5 bucks a month for the hosting and 2 bucks a month for the domain and your "store" makes 30 bucks in sales then you clear 23 dollars a month. You could do a lot more then that.
The other side of the coin is to set up several stores and then create a blog that points to them. Then promote the blog.  What ever the reason..I took the plunge today.
Yup. Picked out a Domain and pointed it to my hosting site. Next I loaded the BANS store script onto the server. Whew. Enter Godaddy my host. Alright I know I'm supposed to use Godaddy for Domains and Host Gator for,..well hosting. The instructions included in the Build a niche store software are primarily geared to Host Gator.
Actually in Hind site, setting up the script is easier on GoDaddy but because the instructions favor Host Gator it is a little terse. So when I finally got to Change the Chmod of the cont.php file I discovered I needed a ftp program to make the changes. Host Daddy lets you transfer files with your browser. This is great. But I can't change permissions with FireFox. So I opted for a free program called Filezilla. It worked really well once I got past set up. Whew, learning things already.
I needed to call GoDaddy support to get my domain to point to the right folder. Let me say this,, The person I talked to was awsome. Very helpful. Very positive. He stuck with me as if I was the only customer he talked to that day.
So I logged into the administration page and low and behold,  my site was waiting for me! I got it right the first shot! Either I'm getting smarter or this software is easier,( I'm not smarter).

Now I get to build my store in reality. And then promote it. So stay tuned...

Desperate buyers and the Niche store.

So now I'm brain storming motivated clickers. It started because I did a Bing search for "powered by build a niche store", (the label on the bottom of all BANS stores. Bing because most are not listed in Google searches). What I found was sad and pathetic. As  I suspected they where hastily thrown up hollow pages that all looked the same. Do a search and add a category like shoes or something. See for yourself.
There are some good sites out there but they are far and few between. It is like no one read the tutorial. Now do the search on Google,"powered by build a niche store" shoes , and find that there are stores here. The Bans stores that are still listed on Google are a very different animal.
I got off on a tangent, I'm sorry.
I meant to talk about motivated buyers. We want clicks on Ebay links. But we really want clicks followed by purchases within 24hrs and still be listed on Google. Whew,..You gotta to be kidding me? It can be done.  When I do it  I'm retired and gone to Florida.

So lets brainstorm. Feel free to add to my list in the comments section.

Catch my cheating spouse.

Fix or replace the thing I borrowed from work and broke before anyone notices. (You know who you are)

Replace my mp3 player.

Replaced my lost cell phone,

Repair car.

Repair Bicycle.

Pass a test.

Fix my teeth

Learn to dance before event.

Find a job.

Make extra money fast.

Get out from under my boss.

Lonely Single person seeking companion.

And so on. The categories this list summons is not as Important as the mind set it invokes.

Go to EBay. Log into a category. Read this list to get into the proper mind set. Now read each subcategory asking ourselves "are people buying this because they are desperate and motivated to buy it now?
Can I build a Store in this category?

Digging deeper. Build a niche site

I'm getting the Idea that web store building is a long drawn out process. It's not like opening a store in reality.
If you open a store on main street you get customers and sales. Open a niche store on the internet do the necessary back linking for placement and you sit back and Wait for months before you Know where you stand. And it might not be good.
All the clever tricks to rank a site are outdated every time Google changes it's algorithms to thwart...YOU.
Now the topic of discussion is niche stores. The prevailing mindset is to look for products that pay well. Higher ticket sales. But wait a minute, maybe higher priced items aren't quick sales. What Items are see it buy it type things? If every body is avoiding 5 dollar usb connecters maybe it is time to look closer at them. What small priced items can I sell large quantities of within 24 hrs of clicking on my link to eBay.
Why wait 6 months to see if you are on the right track when you can throw 25 bucks in your Google Adwords account and rotate the site and Analise your traffic with Google Analytics?

"I Can’t Log In to My Bing Ads Account"

I opened bingads account a few days ago
today set up payment, start advertising, but now unable to go through the login page.
the screen just refreshes.then I tried resetting the password but I still can't log in to my bing ads account.
I'm using Firefox  as my browser.

I requested a changed password to my email account which never arrived.
So I went to the internet to see If anyone else was having a problem.

So here is the first canned response from Bing.
"It sounds like this is an issue better suited for our Bing Ads Support team. This forum is meant to assist with general questions and we want to make sure you get the support you need. For direct account management assistance, please contact our Bing Ads Support team who will be able to provide you with specific answers relating to your account. Click here to connect with them via chat or phone."

Right, the telephone. Bing dosen't work 24/7. You have until 6pm eastern time to call.

You know it is funny. This all started because my webhost, Godaddy, gave my advertising credits. What started out as a nice thought has turned into the usual runaround internet nightmare .

Solution: Long story short, the problem is in my browser. Namely Firefox. Or maybe Bing did something to Firefox because it was fine up until I logged on to Bing Ads. That the fun began.
I closd Firefox and opened my rusty old Internet Explorer and logged into My account with ease. Ahem....Something smells propitiatory at Microsoft.

Now that I have my account can anyone tell me how to fix Firefox?

Build a niche store Bans first glance

Well.. I did it. I bought the bans build a a web store package. Last night I had a weak moment. Or should I say a moment of clarity. You have to chose and move in a direction. Otherwise you're just a deer in the headlights who can't decide which way to go.
I've only read though about half. Already I have learned a lot.. I mean weather you build bans site or not there is a lot to learn here.
Of course the fist thing I did is look at the index.htm to see what I got to work with. Next I read the install. I can see where there might be a few snags, but It is doable.
When I got to the set up I found out what I did wrong 12 years ago. Actually what I was doing wrong right now!
The tutorial basically is about setting up the site and then letting go of it. Do the back linking and them sit back for six months or so.
If you had told me about that a decade ago I would not have heard you. Now it makes sense to me.I am the type of person that is always tweaking. I can't leave it alone. It's like I'm always strumming on the old banjo. Affiliate selling is all about the long arc into the future. If you want money now then sell your prize possessions on Ebay or get areal job. You see this patiently Set up and move on is more important to me then searching through key words. Twang.
How to size up the competition and take over the keyword competition. Twang. Finally Making a website based on the research. OMG twang twang twang. I will say more after I read the rest.Back to tweaking my site.

Bans software good or irrelevant ?

I've been busy. I put Ebay content on my site. Added News Feeds and cleaned up the site. So now what?
This all started because I came across a Build a niche site website and thought it was awesome. Since then I've learned Google doesn't like this type of site. That I might be better off  building niche site stores without their script. I can see where making a blog on an Ebay Category and filling the margins with like content might be better in the long run.
My blog seems to pick up traffic naturally with much less effort.  Hmm...What to do?

Somebody at Ebay likes me.

Well, after reading about all the things I needed to make Ebay affiliates like me, I changed my site. I was up until midnight. I also took the time to add some Google adsense for good measure.  This afternoon. Ebay said yes. I applied on Monday and was accepted on Wednesday. I wonder if my experience is common.
Now I have to figure out how to optimize my Free cement mixer plans at www.simplecement.com  .

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

Well well well, not so easy to get an ebay affiliate membership. It seems ebay has rules and we have to comply. I'm sorry, I go back to the days when ebay allowed checks to pay for auctions. Digital books could be downloaded, and sellers could leave negitive feedback on a deadbeat buyer.  So I looked around and found some info.

Step 1) Make sure you add a contact page.

Step 2) Add a privacy policy.

Step 3) Add content to your site that is informative of your niche.

Step 5) Add an RSS feed or two that has good information relevant to your niche.

Step 6) Add/embed some videos related to your site. This gives some viewing pleasure for the customer. Just make sure they don’t auto start. Not everyone has high speed internet and if your video is set to auto start you will lose all your slow internet connection customers. And here is a tip. If you are targeting customers over 60 a high number of them are still on dialup (you know that old time connection). Make the video as small as you can so it won’t take long to load.

Another Idea is to build a blog on an eBay category . After 5 to 10 quality posts and then apply with that link.

Also give them your domain email, A yahoo/hotmail email account looks bad.

I'd better get back to my site.
Well it's been more then 24hrs since I applied for an affiliate link. Although yesterday was a holiday for most so I can wait another day. Google Analytic is working. My next challenge is to get the Facebook link on my site. I played with it this morning but no luck. I'm sure there is a YouTube video for this some where.

Monday, November 11, 2013

Well I finally got the site up. Just took one day. not bad. I rushed to put up meta tags and checked all of the links.
I signed up for Google analytic to track flow. Finally I signed up for affiliate link. I haven't been approved yet. I'm a little nervous.
